Four video lessons on how to use a guitar capo

The capo is sometimes a source of confusion for learner guitar players so I thought I’d take advantage of all the YouTube videos on the subject of how to use a capo to show you the ways the capo gets used and whether it will be of use to you as you learn how to play the guitar. The first video is just a basic explanation of what the capo does and what the guitar sounds like with the capo at different positions on the guitar neck . . .

And finally, flamenco guitarists use the capo when playing for singers so that they can play in the singer’s key but many play guitar solos with the capo on just because it sounds good. Here’s a video of a flamenco guitarist playing some rhythm with the capo on the fourth fret . . .
